Media

Has anyone ever noticed how fucked up the media can be sometimes? Seriously. Especially the last couple of days they’ve been even more retarded than usual.

Two days ago they started with a lot of whining about how terrible it is that the son of a singer’s wife’s sister (or something like that) had like a seizure and was taken to the hospital. Even though he’s fine and nothing really happened, the media are acting like it’s the fucking end of the world. Shit like that happens hundreds, maybe thousands of times worldwide every damn day and I really fail to see why this one particular case is such a fucking drama.

When it comes to celebrities or anything even remotely close to it, the media tend to overdo stuff big time anyway. Ooh look this guy who once played a nameless guest role in the background of some tv-series kissed his wife, some random fashion whore gave her baby some food, that singer took a dump but forgot to wipe his ass, bladibladiblah. I heard tv-time is expensive, so why waste it on all this fucking crap that nobody really cares about? Seriously, it’s great that some guy is getting married (or divorced) or has a baby or whatever, but I don’t know him, which means I really don’t care.

Back to that first point: media tend to dramatize stuff anyway. I remember that a couple of months ago, there was a situation on a train station. At a railroad crossing, the fences were down, red lights were flashing, and  there were sounds to indicate there’s a train coming and you shouldn’t cross the track. However some girl decided that was nonsense, got underneath the fence and tried to cross the track anyway. However she didn’t see a train coming, got hit, and died.

Of course that’s all great for her/her parents/whatever, but why do the media have to blow it up to a damn national disaster? She could clearly see it was dangerous to go, but ignored all warnings and died. Now she’s dead and it’s her own damn fault. Now stop acting like it’s a fucking horrible thing (or even act like its a fucking accident, because it’s not). If there’s one thing I can’t feel sorry for it’s stupidity, and if you get yourself killed by being stupid at least the average IQ of the planet has gone up a little.
